| | Metros kick off 2008 season with two-game road trip | | Determined to return to the Premier Development League playoffs after a six-year absence, the Nashville Metros will launch their 19th soccer season on Saturday, May 10 in Greensboro, N.C. against the perennial Southeast Division playoff contender Carolina Dynamo. The road trip will also take them through Raleigh for a Sunday afternoon match with the Cary Railhawks. Both road matches, as well as two home matches in two weeks, will double as qualifiers for the U.S. Open Cup national soccer championship tournament. For more information

The dates will be July 18,19,20, & 25,26,27 2008, held on the campus of Trevecca Nazarene University Nashville | | ODP News | | Susannah Dennis (1990) was invited to go to Europe with the Region III ODP team after attending National Camp in January. She will head over to the United Kingdom with the rest of the team to play Arsenal and other European Clubs, March 26th-April 4th. Kat Nigro (1993) was selected to participate in an international tournament on April 3-12, in San Jose, Costa Rica with the Region III ODP Team.They will be competing against the U-17 National Teams of Trinidad and Tobago and Costa Rica with a combination of players born in 91, 92 and 93 and the U-20 National Teams of Chile and Honduras with a combination of players born in 89, 90, 91 and 92. International competition is a key aspect in the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program. Congratulations Susannah and Kat! Chandler Gagnon (1993) , Andrew Edelman (1993), and Daniel White (1993) were all invited to play for the Hawaii Rush 93 Boys in the Manchester United Premier Cup at Nike World Headquarters in Portland, OR.
