Female Referees

My name is Rhiannon Daugs and I was appointed State Director of Women's Officiating at the beginning of 2019.

My goal is to establish a program that recruits, retains, develops, and supports women referees in Tennessee. I would like to create a solid foundation for this program that will, hopefully, pave the way for female officials, but I cannot do it alone. There are only 19 out of 583 female refs in TN who are a grade 7 or higher and there are only 583 female refs out of 2,251 registered officials. We are a small group and we have to come together to help Tennessee Soccer continue to make a name in the U.S. Soccer world.

First and foremost, we are referees. Our training, standards, and goals are aligned with the U.S. Soccer referee requirements, but I would like to provide additional resources and mentoring for female referees. We are here for you! If you need anything from preparing for your very first game to discussing a path to earn your National badge, please reach out. We have female officials all across the state who are willing and able to help you on your journey as a referee.

Please find us on Facebook under Female Soccer Referees of Tennessee for a safe, friendly forum for sharing thoughts and bouncing ideas off one another.

Please contact Rhiannon Daugs (sdwo@tnsoccer.org) to get started.
