If you are ready for the next step in your referee career, it is time to upgrade.
The requirements to upgrade from a Referee to a Regional Referee are as follows, if you have any questions, please contact SDA, Susan Williamson:
You MUST Meet ALL Regional Certification Requirements:
Age: Eighteen (18) Years or Older
Enrollment: Course Registration in OMS
Previous Game Experience: Twenty-five (25) Games as a Referee and Fifteen (15) as an Assistant Referee at Local Adult Amateur Level
Previous Certification: Minimum of Three (3) Consecutive Years as a Referee (Previously Grade 7, 8, or 9)
Training: Regional Referee Course and On-field Experience
Safety and Compliance:
- SafeSport Trained
- Intro to Safe and Healthy Playing Environment Trained
- Background Check
Laws of the Game: Online Regional Quiz
Fitness Test:
Practical Evaluation: Contact SDA, Susan Williamson, to schedule:
- Minimum of three (3) Passing Evaluations as a Referee
- Two (2) at Adult Amateur Level
- One (1) at Highest Youth (18U/19U)
- Two (2) x 45 minute halves
- Evaluations must be done by three (3) different referee coaches
