US Youth Soccer (USYS) has announced the Best XI Teams from the USYS National Championships that were hosted at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, with four Tennessee players receiving the prestigious honor. The Best XI Teams feature players who are identified by opposing coaches throughout the event due to their exceptional on-field performances.

Tennessee Players Receiving Best XI Accolades:

John Gracen Adams (Germantown Legends 08 Black NL) – 14U Boys Best XI

Molly Browne (Lady Lobos Rush E64) – 15U Girls Best XI

Katie Toney (TSC Murfreesboro 2004 Girls) – 18U Girls Best XI

Nicholas Dang (NUSA 03 Boys Maroon) – 19U Boys Best XI

“We are excited for John Gracen, Molly, Katie and Nicholas on being recognized for their contributions within their team at the National Event,” said Hans Hobson, Chief Operating Officer of the Tennessee State Soccer Association.

The Tennessee State Soccer Association was very well represented at the USYS National Championships, with seven total teams advancing to Orlando after tournament play at the state and regional levels. The TSC Murfreesboro 2004 Girls saw great success at the competition, winning their group to secure a berth in the 18U National Championship Semifinals against the Penn FC Youth Lightning. While they may come up short in that semifinal pairing, the TSC Murfreesboro 2004 Girls solidified their status as one of the top 18U teams in the nation.

The USYS National Championships are a culmination of a year-long series of competitions at the state and regional levels known as the USYS National Championship Series, which provides approximately 185,000 players on 10,000 teams from US Youth Soccer’s 54 State Associations with the opportunity to showcase their soccer skills against the best competition in the nation. Additionally, the USYS National Championships provide college and professional coaches with a platform to identify and scout players.
